Case Study : Video for Thorlux Lighting
Thorlux manufacture and sell high-quality professional lighting, worldwide. They had recently made a major investment in automated testing facilities, which ensure that every unit leaving the factory meets their exacting safety and quality standards.
They wanted to create a video to showcase their advanced testing regime to customers and distributors, but their in-house design and creative team recognised that they did not have the time or resources to create a suitably high quality video production.
Method had been working with Thorlux for many years, so they were confident that we would be able to perfectly convey their brand, company ethos and the messages for the video.
The creative process
The first step was a meeting with the Thorlux marketing team, drawing out the brief and discussing the vision for the final video. We discussed the competitive differentiation that they have achieved through their advanced testing process and the improved product lifespan and reliability that customers enjoy as a result.
After planning the content of the video, we worked with selected members of the Thorlux management team to develop scripts which covered the key messages and that they were comfortable delivering.
We worked on-site for two and a half days, including carefully coordinated filming in the live testing environment, as well as scheduled time filming with senior management. After all that, our video editor created a production five and a half minutes in length.
The final video
The team at Thorlux were delighted with the final video, as well as the fact that it had been delivered in a far shorter time than they could have managed in-house. It is currently being used as part of the homepage of the Thorlux Group and UK website.
Method made the whole process of producing this video simple. From the initial concept meeting with advice and guidance on how to approach it, the filming was undertaken with care and attention to detail, and finally, the excellent communication throughout the editing process; working with Method was a pleasure.
